I'm Engaged!

So very exciting news! Me and the love of my life Peter Hibbard are engaged as of Friday night. I couldn't be happier! I feel so lucky to have found Peter, and to get to spend eternity with him. So, the proposal went as follows:
We started off going out to dinner at at a local place in Rexburg, he brought me some beautiful flowers :)
Then, after dinner Peter gave me a rolled up piece of paper much like this one with the first clue to a scavenger hunt he had previously set up.
Clues took me all over town from the local video rental where I would also receive the very first movie we watched together, to the park, to campus, with the last clue leading to him on his knee...
He then started saying all these wonderful things to me about how much he loves me and wants to be with me forever which of course made me cry.
Then he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
I love him so much!

What a happy day! I couldn't ask for more! I am one happy girl!

Failure...

So basically, I'm REALLY still working on this learning to cook thing... the first cake is the one I made. The second cake is the one my roommate had to help me with... Oh boy. Looks like I'm going to need a lot more practice.

Visitors

Over the past few weeks my two best friends from High School have come up to visit me at school. I absolutely LOVE having their company and talking about memories and just catching up. And of course shopping is a must! It really makes me happy to see friends from home. Having visitors is so much fun and I can't wait for more!

Preparing for The Second Coming

This video was presented to me in one of my classes here at BYUI and it seriously has changed my life so much, it is such a great reminder to me why I am here and what I am supposed to be working towards at all times. I hope all of you enjoy this clip as much as I do. It's truly touching and I believe it to be true with all my heart. Enjoy!

Cooking

So recently I have decided to start learning to cook (the ramen noodles and cereal is getting kinda old). I have been experimenting and trying new things, while doing this I have realized something: with every good meal I make there will always be 5 bad meals. I have only set off the fire alarm a few times :) This picture is of some pizza I was only reheating... as you can see the pizza is now charcoal. I just have to keep reminding myself practice makes perfect!

My Birthday!

This week I turned 19, my day started out with waking up to my whole apartment decorated with balloons, streamers and candy (thanks to my roommates), and ended with a surprise birthday party. I couldn't have asked for more! My friends and family truly made me feel loved. The one gift I truly wanted the most was something I specifically asked for from my parents: a printer. Yes, it has gotten to the point where I ask for things I need rather than want for my birthday presents. I did indeed get the printer I asked for and I absolutely love it. It makes finishing papers at 5:00 AM when your class starts and 7:45 AM so much easier without having to run to the library to print it off. Thanks again Mom and Dad! It really was a wonderful birthday.

Roommates

This past semester I experienced living with roommates for the first time. This means ZERO PRIVACY, and although sometimes this can be hard, the friendships you gain and the love you end up feeling for the girls living around you is well worth it. My roommates are such sweet beautiful girls and I couldn't ask for any better. I love them, they're my family away from home.
