Birthday Time!

Peter turned 25 last week and we had a fun day filled with activities. We started the day by renting a two person dune buggy for a couple of hours. Peter has been wanting to do this for the longest time and since we don't have very much longer here in Idaho I thought it would be a perfect birthday activity for him.

The circus just happened to be in town so after the dunes we went home, got cleaned up and went to the circus! It was pretty redneck but we still had a great time!

Peter chose Red Robin for dinner and a cookie monster from Pizza Pie Cafe for dessert (Thanks Alix!). Peter's favorite birthday gift this year was a remote control helicopter. He loves coming home from work and just flying it around all night. Seriously he is like a little kid when he's flying this thing. I love seeing him get so excited to go play with it, he definitely deserves it for how hard he works for our little family.

Peter is an amazing husband and I can't wait to see how great of a dad he is going to be. I sure am blessed to have him in my life!
Happy Birthday Honey!

It's a...

BOY!!!

We found out today that we are going to be having a sweet baby boy. We both felt like it was a boy but didn't have any logical reasoning of why. Having a boy first just feels right for us and we couldn't be more excited. We were also thrilled to see that our baby is healthy and growing strong. Here's an ultrasound picture of our little guy. It took forever to get such a good shot of his profile, the little stinker was wiggling and rolling around like crazy.

A lot of people have been requesting pregnancy updates and although I feel like some of this information may be a little boring for people to read I'm going to do an update. Plus it will be good for me to be able to read and remember the little things. So the first trimester was pretty good for me, I was sick and tired pretty much everyday. The sickness would come and go though and as long as I was eating regularly it wasn't too bad. I also felt like the first trimester went by really quickly which was nice. Once I hit about 13 weeks the sickness was, for the most part, gone other than a few random times.

My belly basically popped out over night at like 15 weeks which was pretty shocking since everyone was telling me I probably wouldn't start showing until around 20 weeks. About a week ago I felt baby moving around in my belly. I don't think I would have noticed it if I wasn't really paying attention, because the movements were super subtle. The movements are pretty frequent, and still subtle but are getting stronger. Feeling our baby move around is one of the most special things I have ever experienced. I feel so close to him already and I just love feeling those daily reminders that he's in there and very active. I'm just starting to get a glimpse of motherhood. I love our little baby so much right now I can't imagine how much we are going to love him once he gets here. I'm 19 weeks now and seriously feeling great. I have way more energy than before and I really don't have anything to complain about. I feel like I'm in the really fun part of my pregnancy that everyone always talks about. I'm enjoying every minute!

Here's the belly shot everyone's been requesting. A lot of people have been telling me that I'm growing straight out. I guess that's the nice way of telling me that my belly is pretty big for how far along I am. I  really don't mind right now, but I am getting a little nervous for how big I will be at 40 weeks... yikes!

(19 weeks)

Our Soon to be New Life

After months of trying to decide where Peter should go for law school, we have finally made an official decision. Peter is going to Western New England Law School in Springfield, Massachusetts!

We will be moving out the beginning of August, and we are pretty dang excited for this new little adventure we are going to be having together. I have never been to the Northeast so last month Peter and I made a little trip out to see where we are going to be living and to find a place to live! I must say MA is quite different from Idaho, but that's not a bad thing. We feel like we are going to have so many new cool experiences out there! I'm really glad that we actually have somewhere to live now too! Long story short, we are actually renting a house from an LDS family who used to live there. It's nice because they are pretty much letting us do whatever we want to the house. So we have plans to paint a couple rooms in the house and that will be fun. Kinda crazy all the little things you appreciate after living in an apartment. We are really excited and feel like this is a good place for our little growing family to live while Peter is in school. So anyways here's a picture of our new little home!

We were able to find somewhere close enough to Peter's school that we won't need two cars. So we also just sold both of our small cars and got ourselves a cute little family car. I love driving it because I feel like such a mom!

Utah Visit

I had a few days off of work last week for Memorial Day, so I decided to go down to Utah to visit family for a few days. Unfortunately Peter had to work the whole week so he couldn't come. On Memorial Day we all went to the splash park. The weather was so perfect and the kids were having so much fun in the water. I love living so close to family and being able to just go out and visit for a few days.
