Chewow

Chewow (she-whoa) is defined as the wife of Mark, the mother of 5 totally awesome super attractive and  incredibly genius offspring, a fun cute teacher who loves science, the number 1 fan of any sport/ activity her kids are involved in, the next Betty Crocker and my best friend.
Today is my beautiful mom's birthday. When I talked to her over the phone earlier today all she wanted to talk about was me and my life even though she is the birthday girl, when I asked her what she was doing to celebrate her special day she responded with "going to your brother's football game." This is exactly what my mom would choose to do too. My mom is the most unselfish and loving person I have ever met. Cheerleading was a big part of my life when I was in High School and I never once went to a competition without seeing my mom's smiling face in the crowd cheering me on, not even Nationals in Orlando, Florida. I can guarantee that all of my siblings would say the same thing with what they were involved in during their High School career.

My mom is such a beautiful person inside and out, and I feel so lucky to have been raised by her. She is the best mom I know; I could go on and on with all the things I love about my mom but that would be a very long post. I just want everyone to know how great my mom is and how much I love her.

Mom, I love you and I couldn't thank you enough for all you have done for me and continue to do. Thanks for always caring about what goes on in my life; I always knew my goals and dreams were important to you and you still keep pushing me to be the best I can be. I only hope that I can be the kind of mom to my kids that you are to me. You aren't just my mom you're my best friend. Cheerleading would not have been the same without you there to support me. I love you Chewow and I hope you have an amazing birthday.

Love you Ten!

So basically I have amazing parents, I seriously couldn't ask for any better. Today is my handsome father's birthday and I thought what could be better than to dedicate a blog post to his awesomeness!
Here are some things I love about my dad :)
1. He is most definitely without a doubt the hardest working person I know.
2. His passion for sports is like none other.
3. He married a super hot wife and created me and my 4 super attractive siblings.
4. He is super handy when it comes to scaring off boys and fixing toilets.
5. He gave me a good example of the kind of man I want to marry (which will be happening in 16 DAYS!)
6. He is very spontaneous, I can't even count how many times he has come home with "special surprises" such as dogs, ducks, cars... etc.
7. His mad skills, no one makes better waffles than Mark Dalby.
8. He has nicknames for every person in our family, some of them even come with songs attached (we won't go into details).
9. He has a tender heart, when people first look at my Dad they get a little intimidated. Something they don't know is how soft hearted and caring he is. There is no doubt that he loves his family.
10. My Dad is the best, I wouldn't change one thing about him.
Hope you have the best birthday ever Dad! I wish I could be there to give you a hugger and a kisser too!
Love, Tink

October Festivities

This October has been very fun! We have especially enjoyed all of the fun things that come along with Halloween.
This is at one of the haunted houses we went to, clearly I was a little too nervous to get close to this scary guy. He figured out I was scared of him and kept staring me down and coming up right behind me to make a freaky noise and make me scream... I think I got more scared of him while waiting in line than when I was actually in the haunted house.
Pumpkin carving was also a must, I'm pretty sure every FHE group at BYU- Idaho carved pumpkins for a least one of their activities this month.

For our ward Halloween party, my roommates and I dressed up as hard core rockstars!
I think we probably had more fun getting ready than we actually did at the party :)
Halloween weekend Peter and I went on a date. We went to Ice cream, a movie and...
finished off the night with a midnight 5k on campus. Now some of you may not think a 5k is that big of deal but I was super proud of myself just for finishing. My goal of the night was not to finish last, and I'm proud to announce I did achieve my goal ;) I hope this will be just the beginning of our racing career together. Something that is on my list to do in my lifetime is to run a marathon with my husband. I figured a simple 5k is a good way to start training.
For all of those who are curious of Peter's awesome matching skills, it was supposed to be a costume 5k and long story short last minute I decided to not dress up and Peter decided to throw on a quick "sailor" outfit he put together. :) Oh my fiance is so sweet. He did cross country in High School and although he was dying to try to place first in the race he chose to run with me the entire time instead. I love him so much and I can't wait to marry him in just a short 18 DAYS!

Abbamania, Hiking, and the Demolition Derby

Last weekend was very eventful, Friday night Abbamania (a tribute band of Abba) performed at BYU-I. Peter works for the lighting crew on campus and sets up for all the shows, so we were able to get free tickets to the concert. I loved the concert so much, even though Peter and I were at least 30 years younger than everyone else there. I really liked all of Abba's songs, I think my roommates would agree since I have been singing all of them around the apartment all week ;)

Saturday morning we went and hiked "R" mountain for those of you who have hiked the Y in Provo, "R" mountain is similar except for the fact that it is extremely ghetto. It's ok though we still love hiking up to it and looking at the beautiful view of all the... farms :)

Saturday night we went to the demolition derby with a group of our friends, it was actually really fun to watch. They even had a decorating contest and two girls painted their car pink and purple... so cute!

This past weekend was very eventful and we had so much fun!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Sunday was our 6 month anniversary, for a little celebration Peter and I decided we wanted to make a special dinner together; however of course some unexpected finances came up and it looked like we were just going to have some good old Pasta Roni instead. Some friends of ours happened to know our situation and the night before our anniversary I walked out of my apartment to find a basket with a candle, champagne glasses, Martinellis, steaks and strawberries. Along with a basket was a card that said "We wanted you guys to have a special night together on us :)." I think I almost cried when I saw the basket from our good friends, even though a 6 month anniversary isn't that big of a deal it feels so nice to have great friends who care about you and want you to have an enjoyable night together. I'm so grateful for wonderful friends and for my sweet fiance :)

Our Anniversary Dinner

So excited to eat real food :)

What a wonderful night it was :)

North Carolina

Two weeks ago Peter and I went up to North Carolina to visit his family. It was so nice to get to know the HIbbard family better!

While we were there the whole family went to Charleston.

A souvenir shop that I just had to stop at! These are called hair hats, don't worry we didn't buy them :)

Charleston has some of the prettiest scenery I have ever seen.

One day all the girls were matching and we didn't even plan it!

I had an amazing time, and I feel so lucky to be able to marry into such a wonderful family.

Water Park Fun

During this summer break Peter and I have been trying to spend as much time together as possible until he goes back to school next week. Recently we went to a local park and decided to play in the water park there, although it was meant for young children we had a very enjoyable time together. I'm so in love with Peter and I'm grateful for every minute I get to spend with him.

I'm Engaged!

So very exciting news! Me and the love of my life Peter Hibbard are engaged as of Friday night. I couldn't be happier! I feel so lucky to have found Peter, and to get to spend eternity with him. So, the proposal went as follows:
We started off going out to dinner at at a local place in Rexburg, he brought me some beautiful flowers :)
Then, after dinner Peter gave me a rolled up piece of paper much like this one with the first clue to a scavenger hunt he had previously set up.
Clues took me all over town from the local video rental where I would also receive the very first movie we watched together, to the park, to campus, with the last clue leading to him on his knee...
He then started saying all these wonderful things to me about how much he loves me and wants to be with me forever which of course made me cry.
Then he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!
I love him so much!

What a happy day! I couldn't ask for more! I am one happy girl!
