Our Soon to be New Life

After months of trying to decide where Peter should go for law school, we have finally made an official decision. Peter is going to Western New England Law School in Springfield, Massachusetts!

We will be moving out the beginning of August, and we are pretty dang excited for this new little adventure we are going to be having together. I have never been to the Northeast so last month Peter and I made a little trip out to see where we are going to be living and to find a place to live! I must say MA is quite different from Idaho, but that's not a bad thing. We feel like we are going to have so many new cool experiences out there! I'm really glad that we actually have somewhere to live now too! Long story short, we are actually renting a house from an LDS family who used to live there. It's nice because they are pretty much letting us do whatever we want to the house. So we have plans to paint a couple rooms in the house and that will be fun. Kinda crazy all the little things you appreciate after living in an apartment. We are really excited and feel like this is a good place for our little growing family to live while Peter is in school. So anyways here's a picture of our new little home!

We were able to find somewhere close enough to Peter's school that we won't need two cars. So we also just sold both of our small cars and got ourselves a cute little family car. I love driving it because I feel like such a mom!

Utah Visit

I had a few days off of work last week for Memorial Day, so I decided to go down to Utah to visit family for a few days. Unfortunately Peter had to work the whole week so he couldn't come. On Memorial Day we all went to the splash park. The weather was so perfect and the kids were having so much fun in the water. I love living so close to family and being able to just go out and visit for a few days.

Exciting News!

(Please ignore the ghetto gas station in the background)

That's right! Our family of two is becoming a family of three... We're having a baby! I'm currently 12 weeks along and feeling great. Our baby is due November 6th, 2013 and we couldn't be more excited. A couple weeks ago we saw our little one moving around in an ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. Already the most amazing thing we have ever experienced. We are so ready for this new adventure and look forward to each step along the way!

Our Latest Happenings

A few weeks ago Peter's parents, brother and sister-in-law came in town to visit for a few days. We had so much fun while they were out here. We went skiing/ snowboarding one of the days and it was nice to get out there before the snow is gone. We really appreciated the time with them; especially because a few days after they left, Peter's dad got deployed again. He is currently in Guam and waiting for more orders. It looks like he is mostly going to be working with the situation going on with North Korea. We were really glad we got to spend time with all of them and can't wait until next time!

Since last time I posted which was clearly awhile ago, I finished school and got a job with Peter! I am in charge of attendance and scheduling for the company which is so easy, I love it! It's nice that Peter and I go to work together everyday and get to spend a lot more time together. Last week Peter actually won a contest at work, he won us a trip to Salt Lake. The trip included a nice hotel room for the night and Jazz tickets! We also had dinner at Peter's favorite restaurant Tucanos. It was a short trip but fun to get away for a night!

Christmas and Vegas

This year we spent Christmas with the Hibbards in North Carolina. It was so nice to go somewhere warmer! We had a few ping pong tournaments, went ice skating, saw Les Miserable, played lots of games, ate a bunch of yummy food and much more! We loved seeing family and having a break from school and work.

A few months ago Paul Mitchell hosted a competition where a number of students who sold the most product from each Paul Mitchell school would get to go on an all expense paid trip to Vegas. I felt so lucky to be chosen and last month was the event. We were there for a week and it was so amazing! There were really cool hair shows, classes and parties. Some of the most famous hair stylists in the world came just to be at this event, and I am so glad I was able to go. Here's some pictures from my trip:

Me in the hotel we stayed in: Caesars Palace

Me and Winn Claybough (The founder of Paul Mitchell schools)

My best friends from school who were also chosen to go.

Largest H&M in the US, don't worry I spent a good amount of time here.

Hair shows and classes:

For the past two months I have been doing day and night school to get done with my hours faster. I have been just a little busy because this schedule means I go to school at 9AM and don't get home until 10PM. Crazy! I'm excited though because this week is actually my last week of school! I graduate on Friday and I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Last weekend I went out to Boise with some friends to go take our written and practical state board exams. I was super nervous but it all worked out because I passed both! So all I have to do is finish my 2000 hours and then I'm officially a licensed cosmetologist!
